Charter-Chasing by Proxy
I've still not managed to see an A4 in action. Twice now, I've heard about Charters to East Anglia just too late to get there myself. Both times though, I've been fortunate enough to have my official photographer by proxy/hot beverage provider/emergency cigarette provider/Modelling horticulture experts there instead.

So here's one of several pictures - 60009 'Union of South Africa' on a slightly ahead of schedule Kings X-Ely charter - and I'm really pleased to have it (As for why, just look at the weather!)
As for modelling? Well, currently I am trying to pick bits of fibreglass pencil out of my finger after cleaning the wheels on my latest aquisition, a Heljan 27 (Banger Blue as 27105). This isn't so fun...
Actually, it looks a good year for Charters in 2008 at the moment - currently looking at the absolute dog of a journey to Uckfield to chase firstly a pair of 31's, and then a pair of 37's, on Pathfinders' Buffer Puffer tours in the early part of the year - whilst trips to Norwich for A4 'Bittern', Brittania Oliver Cromwell as well as a Standard Five look far more sociable. Hoping for some diesel action as well - 55022, D1015 or anything prefixed 50 to either the capital of East Anglia or Eastbourne would be most welcomed.
Just going to try something out here on the 'Teach myself HTML' - so apologies!
